Artist Behind the French Cover: Thierry Martin

Thierry Martin, a Lebanese artist, who moved to France began his creative career following an internship in animation at the Gobelins School. Following the discovery of Frank Miller, Will Eisner, Moebius, Terry Gilliam, and Hayao Miyazaki, Martin moved away from magazine publications to pursue comic series in 2002. In 2021, Martin was asked to create his version with a French perspective of Batman for the special edition comic book - Batman: The World.

Celebrating Batman and the Artist Behind Comic Creation

2021 marks the first of its kind publishing event, featuring Batman stories by top creative teams from across the globe, taking place in their home countries. To celebrate the launch, we've teamed up with the legendary, DC Comics team, for a special capsule highlighting the different artworks by the Comic artist from several countries including the USA, Mexico, China, Japan, Turkey, and Russia.

We'll be celebrating the Comic release with a limited-edition collection of apparel highlighting key artwork from the Batman: The World edition. We will be highlighting each artist, their cover artwork, and their background story.
